Issuing Securities

After or concurrently with “accepting” investors on DealMaker, you need to issue them shares.  This will be done by your law firm or transfer agent typically.

From your investor dashboard page, you can export an excel with all of the information that your transfer agent needs to issue the securities to your investors. To learn how to do this, see here.

Depending on your transfer agent’s format requirements, you can speak to your Account Manager and they may be able to provide you with a customized format.

This excel will include all investors on DealMaker. In excel, you can filter it to include only those investors that you intend to issue.

After providing this list to your transfer agent, we recommend that you tag all relevant investors accordingly, so that you can easily keep track of which investors have had shares issued and when.

After the securities are issued you can upload the following to DM Engage: DRS statements, information for your investors on how to connect with your transfer agent, change their share positions into brokerage accounts, and other useful information.
