How different members see your DealMaker Engage frontend?

Here's what your Shareholders, Followers, and Visitors might see according to your Tab Visibility settings.

Your Members using DealMaker Engage

Shareholders

A Shareholder is one of your accepted investors. They used their DealMaker account to go through your sales funnel. They will get your notifications on their DealMaker Dashboard, or optionally by email.

Followers

Followers are created in a few ways:

  • They may have started a deal question flow
  • They may have been added to your engage member list by an admin
  • They may have followed your engage portal via a public link

Followers will get your notifications on their DealMaker Dashboard, or optionally by email.

Visitors

Visitors are not yet one of your Followers or Shareholders. They are any user on the open internet accessing your Engage page, so Visitors do not get any Engage-related notifications or emails of yours until they become Followers or Shareholders.

Shareholders are the only members who can access the Purchases tab, and can see your News Feed, Documents, and FAQs pages when they’re all engaged (pun intended!) in your backend settings. Learn more about setting these pages in our Tab Visibility article.

Visitors view

Visitors arrive on your Engage profile by accessing a url, and are served the options to Sign In, if they have a DealMaker account, or Follow, if they don’t.

By driving Visitors to Follow your Engage profile, you can precisely target prospective investors with custom tags and email marketing efforts.

Or consider fully engaging (yes, another pun!) Visitors with full visibility to the News Feed, Documents, and FAQs to make Engage the Content Management System for your company’s Investor Relations efforts.
