How do I control the content my audience can see on DealMaker Engage?

Setting "Tab Visibility"

Your Engage portal has four tabs:

  • News Feed
  • Purchases
  • Documents
  • FAQs

The "Tabs Visibility" section (shown above) lets you control whether Visitors, Followers, and/or Shareholders can access the tab and its content.

Public

Set visibility to Public and allow anyone on the public internet to reveal that tab. Company admins can still manage access to individual documents and news releases, so selecting Public won’t instantly make all content accessible to everyone.

Followers & Shareholders

Set visibility to Followers & Shareholders and only allow your accepted investors and anyone with a DealMaker account–including those in your funnel you haven’t accepted yet–to access that tab.

Users who create a DM account and follow your company will get notifications in their dashboard and email inboxes. Driving users to click Follow on your company’s Engage portal gives you and your admins valuable data, including:

  • Number of documents downloaded
  • Number of news releases accessed
  • Email address

Only Shareholders

Set a tab’s visibility to Only Shareholders if you only want your accepted investors viewing that tab’s content–especially useful for your Documents tab.

Configuring the visibility of your tabs based on your goals

  • Want to use Engage as your all-in-one Investor Relations tool? Set your News Feed, Documents, and FAQs to Public.
  • Want to capture email addresses for future marketing efforts? Try setting your News Feed to Public, but setting your Documents and FAQs tabs to Followers & Shareholders. Users can read your news releases, but will be driven to share their email when they want to learn more about your company or offering(s).
  • Need to limit your documents to only accepted shareholders? Set your Documents tab to Only Shareholders.
