How many signatories can sign for an investor?
DealMaker is set up for single investor signature, typically in jurisdictions where spousal consent is legislated, people:
(1) speak to their lawyer and find a way of verifying consent without the actual second signature, or;
(2) if their counsel deems it required, obtain offline or;
(3) ask the investors to upload a paper copy via our portal.
We see the preference to take the additional verification step after the subscription agreement is signed and payment collected to maximize investor conversion, rather than waiting for two signatures on the agreement. DealMaker is predominantly built this way so that additional verification steps are taken after the investor commits to the investment and funds and you don't lose investors along the way.
