Understanding investor behaviour throughout the DealMaker checkout can enable better targeting of ads. We have configured Google Tag Manager (GTM) events to fire as investors progress through the funnel. The following events are triggered throughout the checkout:
- Flow start (variable:
investment_process
): This event triggers once the user has submitted the initial page of the landing page where we capture lead information such as email, name (optional) and phone number (optional) - Top of the funnel (variable:
TOFU
): This event triggers when the user has submitted the second page of the landing page where we capture additional information such as the investment amount - Signed (variable:
signed
): This event triggers when the user signs the subscription agreement - Funded (variable:
investment_funded
): This event triggers when the user successfully clicks the pay button
With each of the above events, we send additional information about the user to Google's DataLayer to better assist tracking and ad optimization.
These variables can be configured to provide information to the Facebook pixel. This can all be set up in your Google Tag Manager account. For a full guide to connecting your GTM to the Facebook pixel, visit Facebook & LinkedIn pixel integration through GTM.
