How do e-signatures work on DealMaker?

(Applicable for Canadian Private Placements and 506b Deals Only)

Once a document has been complete and signature affixed, the document is secured and tamperproof. Our system maintains an audit trail of the process and ensures the legitimacy of the contract between the two parties completing the agreement on the platform.

Amendments to the answers in an agreement are possible, though this will require an investor’s signature be reset and then positively placed back into the agreement by the investor to confirm the changes.

The implementation of this technology ensures consistency throughout and does not allow for slip sheeting of additional or materially different sections of an agreement when signed. Investors and companies can be rest assured that e-signatures carry significant safeguards to clarify the input of both parties' signatures to their agreement.
