Should I have more than one Transfer Agent?

It is not recommended or customary to have more than one transfer agent managing the various share classes of your company, although it is technically possible.

It is confusing for investors to need to speak with different transfer agents for different share holdings, and unexpected.

From a company’s perspective, it will add internal overhead to manage different transfer agents for different roles, reducing the value that hiring a transfer agent provides, in letting an issuer focus on their business and outsourcing shareholder management and reporting.  Actions like class conversions require detailed and accurate records, and these functions are most streamlined and cost effective when all classes are managed by one transfer agent.
