Setting Up Your Domain and Page URL

Before finalizing your landing page setup, you have the option to use your own domain for the landing page. In order to host your landing page, we will need you to add a CNAME to your domain registrar so that we are able to host your domain.

A Canonical Name or CNAME record is a type of DNS record that maps an alias name to a true or canonical domain name. CNAME records are typically used to map a subdomain such as ‘www’ to the domain hosting that subdomain's content.

If you wish to do so, follow these steps:

    1. Click on your company logo at the bottom left of your dashboard.
    2. Select “Company Settings” and navigate to the “Domain configurations” tab.
    3. Click on the "Add your domain" button.
    4. Enter your host domain and subdomain.
    5. Copy the provided CNAME value and add it to your DNS records. This will be done in your hosting provider (e.g. GoDaddy).
    6. Click on the "Verify" button to confirm your domain. It may take a few minutes, and once it’s complete you will see the DNS status display as “Connected” and the SSL status display as “Enabled”.

Now that this step is complete, your domain is configured and ready to be used in any of your deals on DealMaker.
    7. Once the domain is configured, return to your deal overview section. You should see an “Edit Page URL” section that has your domain pre-configured. In the text box, enter the subdirectory for your landing page. This will ensure that your landing page is unique to this offering (e.g. invest.issuer.com/portal).
    8. Now that you’ve saved your landing page URL, the link in your editor will update to point to your host domain.
